Understand Reporting Numbering in Pegasus for all Field Report types

Updated over 2 years ago

Field Report numbers are displayed as decimal numbers (example: 1.1, 2.1) and are automatically generated when a report draft is created and is based on the Report Type and the Number of Reports Created on a given day.

Multiple Field Reports created on the same day will display with increased decimal numbers if the Report Types are the same (example: Daily Construction Report 1.1 and Daily Construction Report 1.2). The integer part of the Report Number will increase as when multiple Report Types are created on different dates (example: Daily Construction Report 1.1, Daily Construction Report 2.1).

Each report type uses its own numbering sequence, including any custom reports your organization may have in Pegasus.

EXAMPLE: You create your first Daily Construction Report and Time & Material Report on the same day, each report will be numbered as 1.1 because they are different Report Types. If you create a Daily Construction Report the following day it will be numbered 2.1.
