Rejecting Reports

Send reports back to the original author

Updated over 2 years ago

When reviewing a report after it has been Submitted by the original author you can send it back to that user by Rejecting the report. Remember, you need to have manager permissions to review reports (Rejecting or Approving submitted reports).

Reasons for Rejecting a Report:

  • Missing or incomplete information

  • Incorrect information

  • To remove the report

Rejecting a report essentially restores that report to a Draft status, however the report's status will now display as Rejected. While Rejected, the user that created that report can now modify the report and re-submit or remove entirely.

How to Reject a Report

From either the Reports Review page or your project's Field Reports page, select the Submitted Report record.

You can Reject a report from the side blade widget or from inside of the report after opening it from the Report Details section.

Select the Reject button.

(From side blade widget on Field Reports/Reports Review page)

(From Report Details section after opening the Submitted Report)

After selecting the Reject button, you'll need to provide a Reason for the Rejection.

From the side blade widget, type in a reason why the report has been rejected.

Select the Reject button.

The Rejected Report will now display in the grid. The original author can modify the report as needed and re-submit. After selecting the report record from the grid, they will see the Reason the report has been Rejected.

REMEMBER: When a Rejected Report is re-submitted this will create another version of the report to view. View report Versions under the Version History tab from the side blade widget of the report record.
