Project Permissions & Authorship Rules in Field Reports

In this article we'll cover Permission & Authorship Rules for Field Reports in Pegasus:

Project Permission Rules

  • View: If you are assigned the View Permission for a project in Pegasus, you can only view field reports. With the View Permission, users cannot create, review (Approve/Reject), or modify Field Reports.

  • Field: If you are assigned the Field Permission for a project in Pegasus, you may View, Create, and Submit Field Reports. With the Field Permission, users cannot Review or Modify Submitted Field Reports.

  • Manager: If you are assigned the Manager Permission for a project in Pegasus, you can View, Create, Review, and Unapprove Field Reports. With the Manager Permission, users have full access and capabilities for the Field Reports page.


Authorship Rules

When a user creates a Field Report in Pegasus, he or she is the only user capable of modifying that report until it is submitted for review. Other users may View that report but they may not contribute to, modify, or remove that report. ONLY the original author may do so while drafting a Field Report.
