Definitions
A calendar days schedule calculates the project's duration based on the entire calendar, encompassing weekends, public holidays, and any other non-working periods. This method focuses on the overall time elapsed from the project's commencement to its completion, irrespective of whether work is performed on a specific day or not.
The date when a contractor needs to be complete at project's job site.
A working days schedule is a project schedule that takes into account only the designated working days for calculating the project's duration. Non-working days, such as weekends, public holidays, or any other agreed-upon non-working periods, are excluded from the project timeline. This method is primarily concerned with the actual days when labor and resources are actively engaged in the project.
Funds covering the costs for each day the project continues past the agreed-upon date of completion. These funds are typically deducted from what the owner owes the contractor for work performed.
